My beloved friends,
The series of events taking us to Moscow evidence God’s astounding watch care over us. We left Indiana March 29th and stayed overnight with dear friends in Mississippi and Georgia, on a 3-day journey to central Florida, to stage and visit 2 of our children and 4 grandkids before flying to Russia. In FL we stayed with good friends 10 minutes from the Orlando airport. We had Sun. AM service with our son and his family. Monday night (just before we left for Russia Tues.) we shared at a small chapel service at Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Maitland, FL with dear friends, Margaret and Jack Stevens, faithful friends and supporters since 1996. In that service, and over the course of our trip to FL, the Lord provided all our needs for our trip to Yakutsk, Vilyuisk, and Ügülatsi. It has been truly amazing to watch His provision as each time we step out and go by faith. Our 2 one-way tickets from Orlando to Moscow were together under $1,000! Please pray for me, that I might learn a greater walk of faith. I have learned the blessing of obedience but I want to learn the joy of the faith walk.
We are enjoying a much needed time of rest in Moscow with Yuri and Sveta –friends we first met in Yakutsk in 1997. Yuri helped us ship all our supplies to Yakutsk, so we will take a small bag and computers with us when we fly tomorrow (Tues). Saturday night believers gathered to hear Mike share the Word. We then shared the gospel with a young Russian couple who are searching from 10PM to 2AM. I shared using the EvangeCube. Judy Sikes from our home church, New Bethel SBC, gave me the cube just before we left. Our Lord knew I’d be using it!
We attended Easter services with Yuri and family at Moscow’s International Christian Assembly, a large congregation with members from over 30 nations. The American pastor spoke on God’s incredible love in Christ from the cross. Mike and I ministered to Yuri and family Sun. night. We praise God for the joy of ministering Biblical Counseling, seeing conviction, repentance, cleansing, and freedom in believers’ lives.
Marina, a friend and travel agent in Yakutsk got our tickets for us and we fly to Yakutsk tomorrow, Tues. in the afternoon. We have to be at the airport at 2:00 p.m. and fly around 5:15 p.m. We arrive Wed. morning early. Please pray for us on that flight, and for safety in travel for the final three legs of our journey home. To stage and collect supplies for our village we will stay in Yakutsk with the Koulitchins, a precious Sakha family who have been our guardian angels “in the flesh” since 1997.
As you see above, without many special God-given friends across America and Russia, our labor of love to the Sakha could not happen. All who stand with us in prayer share equally in the Sakha harvest (1 Samuel 30:23-25). Thank you for your love and care!
All my love in Christ,
Diane Meagher
